Island Highlights

The "Aloha Shack" is located on the east side of the beautiful Hawaiian Island, on an acre of groomed botanical gardens. Geographically, the Aloha Shack is in an ideal location for people who want to visit the green jungle side of the island. It is about 25 miles north of the Volcanos National Park where the active volcano flows into the Pacific Ocean.

About 20 miles east of the Aloha Shack is Pohoiki point, the most east facing point of the island. This is an epic uncrowded old fashion surf spot that is very much like surfing Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz, but the water is 85 degrees.

Hilo bay, and the airport are located about 15 miles from the Aloha Shack. Hilo bay has many world class snorkeling locations and child safe beaches. A place where parents can relax while the children play and swim under the watchful eyes of a county life guard. The tides raise and lower through a huge boulder rock wall, keeping the children safe from the open ocean.
